VIDEO DREAMS (IN PRE-PRODUCTION)

Well, I’ve been working on something new. For some months now I’ve been tinkering with the idea of making a feature-length documentary about the origin of the middle-class video-making movement in the U.S. I found a number of old VHS tape with raw footage and short films from when I was a teenager. I started putting these clips together, adding music and narration. I knew there was something here. In regard to origin of middle class filmmaking, there really was only 8mm film but most people were not editing it. That was mostly used to record four minutes of a wedding or an event (because of small film capacity). It occurred to me that it was really only when VHS became slightly outdated, that used gear became affordable to regular folks. for thousands of people, this is when our dreams of being filmmakers began. This is going to be a rather personal film but I think people will dig it. Stay tuned for more news!
